24/7 Printing For Everyone At the School
24/7 Printing For Everyone At the School
There are 5 PrintGrid locations around the school. You can send your print from your laptop and release it at any of the PrintGrids.
The PrintGrid offers A3 and A4 Printing across the school. We also offer A1 Matte and A1 Glossy in select PrintGrid locations.
To install the printers on your laptop, go to Self Service and install PrintGrid. Once the NoMAD screen pops up, click continue.
The NoMAD icon will appear at the top of the menu bar, click on it and sign in. Once you’re signed in, you’re ready to print.
To Send a print to the PrintGrid just hit File > Print from your Laptop, choose the paper which you like and hit Print.
Send your print. To Release a print walk over to any PrintGrid and:
1. Beep your ID card on the reader
2. Click Release Print.
That's it! You print will be ready shortly.
The first time you use your ID card, you will be asked to input your username and password after beeping the card. Once this is done, beep your card again. You will only need to do this once!
If you decide you do not want to print something that you have already sent to the PrintGrid, you can go to the PrintGrid to cancel a print. Just beep your card, and select the print you would like to cancel from the display. Click "Delete Print".
Prints sent from your laptop only stay in the PrintGrid for 30 minutes before they are automatically deleted. So, if you wait too long, you will need to send the print again.
Q : When I select a printer, I cannot see the PrintGrid printers in the dropdown list.
A : If you cannot see the printers, you may need to install the 'PrintGrid Printers' from the Self Service app on your laptop. Check the tutorial above.
Q : How do I know where my print is going to come out?
A : Your Prints will go to whatever PrintGrid location you walked to. You don't need to choose. Each printer is clearly labeled is 'A4 Plain', 'A3 Plain' so depending on what you chose, it will come out of that printer.
Q : I sent my file to the PrintGrid, but it isn’t appearing at the release station.
A: Make sure to use the correct paper size. The PrintGrid will only run prints set to A4 and A3 for their respective printers. Here’s a guide to selecting the correct page size before printing.
Q: I released my print, but nothing is coming out.
A: There may be a paper jam, or the printer may be out of ink. Don’t worry! There are 4 other PrintGrids, send the print again and go to another one, our technician will fix it shortly.
Our services include printing on matte or glossy paper.
